Your mentor has called you home, but something isn't quite right. With the help of Ashmo, your demon-possessed lantern, discover what has happened to Qu's mentor and why they have suddenly been summoned home after all this time.
<This is, unfortunately, an incomplete submission. In hopes of highlighting the team's effort, we've included many of the unused assets. While we didn't quite finish what we set out to do, we're still proud of submitting. For many of us, this will be the first game we've had a hand in making. Though incomplete, I hope you enjoy what we have here.>
The Demonologist's Assistant is a short bite-sized mystery with an occult theme and mild humor :
Controls:
Arrows / Move
Z / 2nd Sight
X / Interact
Cleansing Tags are both Lives and Attempts. Avoid enough hazards and you may be able to brute force the puzzle!
2nd Sight is where Ashmo gets to shine! Use his demonic sight to reveal clues, expand your vision temporarily, and survive long enough to solve the mystery your mentor left behind.
Explore a (part of) a single path of The Demonologist's Assistant and discover one of the many possible fates of Qu's mentor, Elder Cordelia. This submission is a (partial) example of one of the many intended paths, where each demon haunts the mentor's home differently. This bite-sized mystery is designed to be solved in one sitting.
